
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actor. Following her first television appearances was her breakthrough role, she gained acclaim for her role in The Matrix series (1999 to the present). Memento (2000) was her debut major role. She won the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Supporting Character, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) brought her the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). Moss also played Jeri Hogarth in a variety of television shows created by Marvel Television for Netflix, especially Jessica Jones (2015-2019). While living in Spain, Moss obtained a part as Tara, the clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first television appearance. In 1992, she relocated with the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss quit Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn in the role of Samantha Collins. After her return to United States, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model as well as a character in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap show. The show was cut in July 1995. Matrix was a short-lived made in Canada show. The 1990s were a time when she played an actor on various television shows, including Street Justice and Baywatch. She also appeared on F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South earned her a nomination in the Gemini Award for Best Guest Artist in the field of drama. A lot of her film roles in the decade were B movies, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996), and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
