Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding's (n e Elena Jane Goulding 30 December, 1986 in Hereford England) was an English singer-songwriter from England. Having caught the public's attention in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding rapidly rose to the top of the charts due to her infectious electronic pop sound. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands out as a contemporary musician with her distinctive soprano voice, and her talent in writing songs that are both catchy and emotional. She's akin in many ways to Kate Bush, Imogen Heap and other musicians of the same ilk. The final decision was to sign a major label agreement with Polydor Records and began making arrangements for her debut album.
