Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She has released more than 20 studio albums. DiFranco classifies her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative, but it also contains influences such as hip-hop, punk and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as the feminist's icon, and Grammy award-winning musician is thought to be the founder in DIY music.
