Annie Murphy is the name of Anne Frances Murphy who was born on December 19, 1986. She is Canadian and has worked in Hollywood's film industry for a variety of projects. She played the character of Alexis Rose for the CBC comedy television series Schitt's Trail that began in 2015 and ran until the year 2020. The show was critically praised for the role and received the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born within Ottawa Ontario Canada. She is the child of two school teachers. Elmwood School was her first option to attend in Ottawa which was where she performed in various stage performances. When she graduated at Concordia University with a theatre degree, she then joined the Canadian Film Centre's Actor's College. It was the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory was where she took her acting classes. In Los Angeles she devoted herself in acting. Annie Murphy made her acting debut in 2007 when she appeared in the thriller television movie Lethal Obsession. She continued her acting career as she played minor, supplementary roles in many films. Some of them are popular such as Story of Jen which was made in the year 2008, Lick which was released in 2010, and another hit A Windigo Tale which was made available during the same year. Also, she was a part of Canadian TV series like Good God, which aired 2012 and Rookie Blue in the same. The actress has shown her ability to take on many different acting projects. Annie had to struggle at beginning to prove herself an actor. She also worked hard to showcase her talents and gain recognition.
